Transforming Health Relationships with Mobile & Web Apps: Clinician Training by TechnoTherapy.org

All Washington DC region behavioral and medical health professionals are invited to join for an engaging and interactive training session on the technology, practices, and ethics of integrating mobile-phone based applications (apps) into client relationships. The technology portion will be led by Dr. Ken Paik of MIT who will introduce the realm of existing applications in mHealth, and focus on the applicable possibilities for behavioral health practitioners. The practices portion will be led by Dr. John Wright of Georgetown, who integrates theoretical and evidence-based research on the psychology of device-mediated communication to introduce an extended care practice model, and the ethics portion be cover relevant ethical codes and explore how to resolve potentially challenging scenarios.

Mobile technology is growing in around the world. In fact, by early 2015 the number of mobile connections will surpass the world's population. Public and private innovators are leveraging this near ubiquity of mobile technology to address youth employment issues. By providing services to match labor supply and demand, these pioneers are helping to bridge some of these gaps.

Citizen Participation and Technology: An NDI Study
